Caribbean Islands

(Click on a map area for more information)

Like a French princess, Martinique is really crowned by a perpetually swirling mist above the once-active Mont Pelee volcano. The volcano has been dormant for almost a century, but its imperial status has not diminished. Martiniquans respect nature. The islands beaches, which range from the purest white to the most saturated black, are pristine. Its low-lying countryside is unblemished, and its towns are draped in tropical flowers like frangipani, hibiscus, oleander, and bougainvillaea.
